Just another start to a normal day in the life of Don Pollo

0ptiNine responds:

Me when the pollo is don't

Simple and very effective. I enjoyed this thoroughly.

Progression is satisfying and surprisingly dynamic, with each part delivering something new or subtly subverting previously established sounds.

Keep it up

Preds responds:

Thank you for the review! I appreciate it

The orchestration is glorious, but the drop was pretty severe tonal whiplash for me. It is not bad in isolation, but i find the track wouldn't be lacking anything when it didnt have the drop.

If there were more hints towards it being a dubstep track would've come a long way in properly building up to the drop (heavier drums, electronic ambiance noises/drones or any synthetic sound design being present anywhere else in the track)

Would be a 5/5 otherwise.
Still enjoyable though :)

Tennon responds:

Thank you for your review!

This lives up to its name

Inspiring as an experience. The synths synergize amazingly with the strings. Melodies feel dark and the instrumentation desolate and yet it all carries some whimpering sense of hope.

Wish you luck in the competition :D

Fox4567 responds:

Thanks!!

Very fun melody and catchy rhythm. At its peak it flows really well. There is some tonal whiplash that interrupts the flow with the sudden tempo change at 00:51 and 01:10.

Still, this is a fun one :)

tct11 responds:

aw, thanks! i love the feedback.

A magical experience.
Each instrument and melody has character and is placed in such a satisfying way that makes this feel like a piece from a bigger emotionally driven story.

It is really easy to imagine hearing this in an ending of some deep drama or coming of age story

Everratic responds:

Thank you!

The intro has a strange sense of nostalgia. The vocals remind me of a certain track (which name i cant even begin to recall) that i used to listen when i was still really small.
This unearthed some distant childhood memories
Also love the space at 1:22

NASHqp responds:

I'm happy it gave you nostalgic vibes. Nostalgia really does give a sense of wanting to go to the past. :)

Beautiful.
Simple stuff like this can feel endlessly complex when the mood is right.
And this one sure creates a mood :)

Vortonox responds:

thanks :D

I adore the enthusiasm your work eminates!

When listening your stuff I hear sounds of unfiltered fun and sincerity.

centurioncee responds:

thank you! i appreciate you listening and i'm glad you're liking it

Uneasy, yet mesmerizing.

Like stumbling into something sinister what will make sure that whatever you just witnessed will not leave the place with you.

Production is also really good. Although if i would change anything, i would try to add a bit more power to the verse. Currently there is a noticable contrast between the lyrical verses and drops. Maybe bringing out the distortion guitar more or making vocals more crisp and loud. However these are just ideas from an observer and then again, its nothing distracting, but i find it would make it a bit more consistent and powerful experience.

Good job :)

DocJay responds:

Glad you liked it! :D and thank you for the tips, our aim is to experiment as much as possible to test our limits and hopefully expand them!
